Welcome to the Kansas City Renaissance Festival. This year our festival is filled with great delights - wonderful performances, free events, and lots of fun - as well as workshops, master classes and informative demonstrations.
It is a special year for us, one in which we have focused on the Renaissance Festival mission not only to bring nationally and internationally renowned artists into our midst, but to give back to the community through free events and community partnerships designed to showcase local artists.
The Kansas City Renaissance Festival is set to enrapture festival lovers once again. Our venue will leave you fascinated, captivated and enthralled. With performances ranging from classic to contemporary, traditional to avant-garde, each act will inspire you to greater heights.
Kansas City Renaissance Festival The Kansas City Renaissance Festival runs for seven glorious weekends each autumn, beginning on Labor Day weekend. It's held only 15 minutes (and 400 years) from downtown Kansas City, at Bonner Springs. Visitors can travel back to a time when knights clad in shining armour battled for a lady's honour and jesters, minstrels and rogues entertained all-comers in the hope of a day's wages.
Attractions include a jousting competition, over 500 costumed characters and music on period instruments. Fire eating and zany comedy shows take place on 13 stages. Over 150 shops sell jewelry, glass, leather goods and more. Finally, the Children's Realm has games, shows and crafts, as well as "knightings" by the King at 3pm each day. …...more!
